Frequently Asked Questions

Why is organic food considered so much healthier than conventional food?

When you eat a plant or animal, you’re also eating whatever has entered that plant or animal’s cells. So when you eat a plant sprayed with a chemical, you may also be eating chemical residues. Artificial sweeteners, preservatives and flavourings simply add to the cocktail.

Organic food is grown using only natural fertilisers and bug deterrents, so there are no chemicals for you to ingest. That helps keep your body toxin-free. It also adds to the nutrious value of the food you’re eating so you get more vitamins and minerals in the same volume of food.

Why should I choose Certified Organic food for my children?

Certified organic foods are far better for children than highly processed, chemically-laden, preservative-filled products.

Children have a larger intake of food per kilo than adults. This also means that children can potentially consume more toxins than the average adult.

Toddlers eating organic foods have been found to have less than one-sixth the pesticide residues in their urine compared with children eating conventional foods.

That’s why we recommend organic foods as the healthy choice for your children.

Are organic foods higher in nutrients?
