Sustainability with Ozganics
Ozganics: Proudly Organic, Proudly Sustainable, Proudly Australian
Since 1999, Ozganics has been quietly leading a movement, one jar, bottle and sauce at a time. Founded in the regional NSW town of Murwillumbah by Anni Brownjohn, Ozganics has grown from a home kitchen experiment into Australia's first certified organic food company, and more recently, the first food manufacturer in the country to be recognised as Certified Sustainable.
Organic From the Start
Long before "clean eating" became a buzzword, Anni was already living it, developing recipes to feed her own family safely amid food intolerances. That personal mission became a company-wide philosophy: every one of Ozganics 26+ products is certified organic, non-GMO, and free from artificial additives, preservatives, gluten and dairy. Being one of the first organic brands in Australia isn't just a badge, it's a responsibility Ozganics has carried for over two decades, holding certifications through both Organic Food Chain and Australian Certified Organic, alongside Halal and Kosher accreditation.
Packaging That Respects the Planet
Sustainability isn't an afterthought at Ozganics, it's simmered into every decision, right down to the packaging. Choosing glass over plastic means every Ozganics jar and bottle can be recycled again and again without losing quality, and without the chemical leaching risks that come with some plastics. It's a simple choice with a big impact: less plastic waste, cleaner recycling streams, and food that stays fresher for longer.
Better for You, Better for the Planet
Ozganics' Certified Sustainable status, an Australian standard, means the produce behind every product has been independently tested to be residue-free, non-GMO, and produced with a lower emissions footprint than conventional farming.
It's proof that the farmers supplying Ozganics are managing their land to improve soil health for future generations, not just this season's harvest.
Old-Fashioned Values, Modern Standards
At its heart, Ozganics is still a family recipe book turned into a business. The flavours are built on the kind of scratch-made, no-nasties cooking that generations of Australian families would recognise, just without the compromises. It's old-fashioned cooking wisdom, backed by rigorous modern certification.
