Ozganics began with one mum trying to solve a very real problem: how to make wholesome, delicious meals her whole family could enjoy.
In the late 1990s, Anni Brownjohn’s family was living with severe food intolerances and allergies. At the time, finding Australian-made products without artificial colours, flavours, preservatives and common allergens was almost impossible.
Frustrated by what she found on supermarket shelves, Anni began experimenting in her home kitchen in Murwillumbah, Northern NSW. Using organic ingredients and natural flavours, she created sauces and spreads that were clean enough for her family, but still tasted like the food they loved.
In 1999, that personal mission became Ozganics.
Our Australian Pioneer
Anni went on to establish Australia’s first certified organic food manufacturing facility, helping forge a path for an industry that was still in its infancy.
Long before “clean eating” became a movement, Ozganics was committed to making food with integrity: certified organic ingredients, thoughtful production and recipes free from unnecessary additives and hidden nasties.
More than 25 years later, those principles remain at the heart of everything we make.
Today, Ozganics produces a much-loved range of organic sauces, dressings, condiments and spreads for families across Australia and exports to more than 20 countries around the world.
We may have grown beyond Anni’s home kitchen, but our reason for being has never changed.

Our story has not always been easy.
Ozganics has endured two catastrophic floods that destroyed manufacturing facilities and devastated local crops. Each time, Anni and her team rebuilt—driven by the same determination that began the business all those years ago.
That resilience is woven into who we are.
We are proud of our Northern NSW roots, proud to support regional communities and proud to show what an Australian business built on care, courage and conviction can achieve.
