Ingredients
- 1 Cup Ozganics BBQ Sauce
- 1.5kg Beef Short Ribs
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Onion, Chopped
- 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 Cup Beef Bone Broth
- 2 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
- Parsley, Freshly Chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
1. Prepare the Ribs: Season the short ribs generously with salt and pepper on all sides.
2. Sear the Ribs: In a large Dutch oven or heavy pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the short ribs and sear them on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the ribs from the pot and set aside.
3. Sauté the Aromatics: In the same pot, add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
4. Deglaze the Pot: Pour in the beef broth and use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. This adds incredible flavour to the dish.
5. Combine Ingredients: Return the short ribs to the pot. Add the Ozganics BBQ Sauce, apple cider vinegar, and smoked paprika. Stir to combine, ensuring the ribs are well-coated in the sauce.
6. Braise the Ribs: Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover the pot and transfer it to a preheated oven at 160°C. Braise for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender and falling off the bone.
7. Serve: Remove the pot from the oven and let the ribs rest for a few minutes. Serve garnished with fresh parsley and enjoy with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes or roasted vegetables.
