Ingredients
- 1 Jar Ozganics Bolognese Pasta Sauce
- 500g Minced Meat
- 9-12 Lasagna Shees (Gluten Free if Preferred)
- 2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Onion, Finely Chopped
- 2 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
- Fresh Basil (optional garnish)
- 4 Tablespoons of Butter
- 4 Tablespoons Flour (Gluten Free if Preferred)
- 4 Cups of Milk
- Pinch of Salt, Pepper and Nutmeg
Method
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C.
Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened. Add minced meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
Add the Sauce: Pour in the Ozganics Bolognese Pasta Sauce, stirring to combine. Simmer for 10 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Prepare the Béchamel: In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add flour and whisk continuously to create a roux. Slowly pour in the milk, whisking constantly until the sauce thickens. Season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.
Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Layer with 3-4 lasagna sheets, followed by a layer of béchamel sauce, then more meat sauce.
Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top.
Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Rest and Serve: Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.
