Jackfruit is a popular plant-based substitutes for meat, and for good reason! It's rich in vitamin C and one of the few fruits that's high in B vitamins. Pair it with Ozganics traditional BBQ sauce and you're in for an absolute treat!
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Ozganics BBQ Sauce
- 4 Slices Sourdough Bread
- 400g Canned Jackfruit, drained
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce or Tamari
- 2 Tablespoons Honey
- 1 Red Capsicum, sliced
- 1 1/2 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
1. In a medium frying pan over a high heat, add the jackfruit, OzganicsBBQ Sauce, soy sauce and honey.
2. Stir intermittently until the jackfruit is crispy and golden.
3. Layer the sourdough with the jackfruit and all of the remaining ingredients and garnish with salt and pepper to taste.
4. Layer with cheese and toast in a sandwich press or frying pan until crispy and golden.
